Food and atmosphere highlight DSF for Senator Coons

Adopting a goat, tasting the best eats, and speaking with folks across the first state; add those to the list of things U.S. Senator Chris Coons has done thus far at the state fair.

Senator Coons tells 47 ABC that he’s been enjoying the fair for years, even since he was working as a campaign assistant.

Some of the things he enjoys is the indoor air conditioning, the great food, and the overall fair atmosphere.

“To me the best part for me, is just seeing young people enjoy it. There’s a lot of young people who work very hard here, who are showing their animals, who are apart of the different 4-H displays, but it’s also just fun to watch kids on the rides.”

Senator Coons said his office adopted a goat while at the fair on Thursday night. He tells us that the goat will be taken to a new, and safe home.
