Dover PD uses Pinterest to reunite unclaimed property with owners

Police in Dover have announced a new method to reunite unclaimed property with its respective owner. The department has set up a Pinterest account, where residents can look through and pin items they recognize.

Authorities say the items listed were turned into the department or found by officers. Police say most are lost and found, but some others are recovered from crime scenes in the area.

Here is how it works: each item listed has a reference number attached to it. If you recognize an item, police say you may pin it and contact Dean Anderson at 302-736-7126.

Officials say you can call about pickup hours between 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. Monday through Friday.
