Dover PD: several in critical condition following motorcycle

Dover Police say they are investigating a severe accident involving a stolen motorcycle from Fairfax County, Virginia.
We’re told around 3 PM Saturday afternoon, a 31-year-old male on the motorcycle struck the passenger side of a Chevy HHR after weaving in and out of traffic in the area of Route 13 and MLK Jr. Blvd.
Dover PD says that upon impact, the motorcycle flipped over and the driver was ejected.
According to police, the operator of the motorcycle sustained life threatening injuries, including fracturing his arms, legs, and pelvis, along with other internal injuries.
Police say he is listed in critical condition at Christiana Hospital.
We’re told that those in the Chevy also sustained injuries. A 12-year-old girl apparently suffered internal injuries as well as bone fractures and is reportedly in critical condition at A.I. Dupont Children’s Hospital.
Dover Police tell us that a 6-year-old boy, also in the Chevy, is in critical condition after suffering a severe head laceration.
Route 13 South and MLK Jr. Blvd was reportedly shut down during the investigation and re-opened around 6:30 PM.
Police say they discovered the motorcycle was stolen during the investigation, which is still ongoing.
We’re told no charges have yet been filed.
