Delmar Wildcats Football Preview

The Delmar Wildcats are back on the grid iron, looking for a bounce back season in 2015. Last year the Wildcats finished the year 5-5, missing out on the playoffs. The team returns all but 11 seniors, and now looks to have the experienced needed to return to being one of the conferences top teams.

Last years team was led by senior all-conference quarterback Shane Leatherbury, who has since graduated and moved on to play at Seton Hill. The team however returns a few big names they will lean on heavily this year, including senior running backs Kavon Trader, Logan Thomas and DeJour Brown. 

The team will continue to run it’s option offense, though now Jimmy Adkins will take over under center. Adkins is less athletic than Leatherbury was, but has shown great command for the offense and has a great feel for how to run the offense. Delmar opens their season September 11th when they travel to play John Carroll.
