Crisfield man charged following apparent burglary and traffic stop

A Crisfield man was arrested over the weekend, after Police say he fled from a traffic stop earlier in July.
The Crisfield Police Department says on July 23 around 10:45 PM, an Officer was doing radar enforcement on Richardson Avenue, near Mariners Road, when they noticed a silver Toyota driving fast, and attempted to stop it. According to the report, the vehicle eventually pulled over on Crisfield Highway, before the driver, identified as Shawn Tilghman from a previous arrest by the Officer, bailed leaving the car in drive, and fleeing into the woods.
The Officer apparently chased Tilghman, and apparently watched him throw a large bag of something to the ground, but lost him in the woods near the stop. Police say during the chase, the Toyota, which had been left in drive, hit a sign at Mrohs Propane Company. The bag that Tilghman tossed, was reportedly recovered, and apparently had 23 bags of marijuana inside.
Police say a little over a week later, on August 1 around 7:15 AM, Crisfield Police were called to Lawson Barnes Road, by Maryland State Police, for reports of a suspicious person. Once on scene, Crisfield Police say MSP had found the suspicious person, identified as Shawn Tilghman.
He was arrested, during which Police say they found over $570, and a cellphone, and was then charged by MSP for the Lawson Barnes Road incident with 2nd and 3rd degree burglary, 2 counts of 4th degree burglary, theft less than $1,000, and 2 counts of theft less than $100. He had a bail set at $50,000 on those offenses.
Tilghman was additionally charged by the Crisfield Police Department with fail to obey a Police Officer, driving without a license, and 19 other related traffic charges, for the Richardson Avenue incident. He had an additional $50,000 bail set for those charges.
