Bridgeville man accused of assaulting officer over knife at Sussex Co. Courthouse

A Bridgeville man is facing charges, after he apparently brought a knife to the Sussex County Courthouse.
Delaware Capitol Police say during the screening process, a knife was found in 22-year-old Sebastian A. Roque-Ortiz’s wallet. Capitol Police say they seized the knife, at which Roque-Ortiz demanded that it be returned, and then refused to leave when ordered to.
According to the report, while being placed under arrest, Roque-Ortiz resisted, causing a struggle that injured both the Capitol officer and the suspect. Both were treated at Beebe Medical Center, and released.
On Friday, Roque-Ortiz was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, offensive touching of a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct, and released on a $15,100 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing.
