Bennett Clippers Football Preview

The James M. Bennett Clippers will look to rebound from a 2014 season in which they went 3-7 when they take the field this year. The Clippers will lean on their veteran offensive and defensive line, while try and work in new faces to the skill positions.
The Clippers figure to have an advantage in the trenches this year as they bring back 8 returners on the line. What was once a weak point of the team a year ago, now looks like it could be the strength of the program this year, as they not only have depth but have talent.
The Clippers however will look to replace a strong group of seniors in Jacob Laramore, Michael Jean-Charles and Trayshawn Wright. Bennett will now look to sophomore Joey Blake to lead the way under center, while featuring senior Joey Geary across the field. Geary will be a featured tailback in the offense, while also serving as the backup quarterback and possibly seeing time in the slot as well. The team will also be working in a few new athletic pieces, such as an explosive junior in Matt Chrysostome.
The Clippers open their season September 5th when they host Washington.
