Becky Long case postponed

Becky Long, the woman accused of killing a woman in her care, has had her court appearance postponed. State’s Attorney Joel Todd tells 47 ABC it has been pushed back because investigators are still working on the case. Todd says they did not want a probable cause hearing until they have the complete investigation.
Back on July 16th, Fruitland Police responded to a Fruitland home regarding a death investigation. Mary Ellen Bonniwell was found slumped over on a portable toilet, deceased. She had scratch marks on her neck, bruises, and a broken hyoid bone.
The state’s attorney says before there’s an opportunity for a new date, they will be presenting the case to the grand jury.
