Wings and wheels at AMC Museum

The Dover Air Mobility Command Center Museum joined with the Del Rod’s car club Saturday to put on a car show at the museum.

According to museum officials, airplane lovers and car lovers are both “motor heads” meaning they have a love for motors.

Despite a few showers this morning paired with the hot and humid weather, crowds showed in full force to enjoy the sights today at the museum.

“This is largest crowd we’ve had for a car show to date, it’s one of the larger crowds we have every year. The Del Rods car show is one that’s anticipated, people come from fives states to bring their cars just so they can park them under the airplanes,” said Michael Leister, director of the museum.

If you missed out on the Del-Rod’s car show Saturday, the next show will be at the Rita’s Ice on Kent Island on July 21st.
