Wallops receives best in class

Wallops Flight Facility is apparently the best in the business, if the business is being a small aviation program within the federal government.

Wallops earned that recognition from the General Services Administration and Interagency Committee for Aviation Policy.

An independent panel of flight experts judge agencies based on aircraft administration,operations, maintenance, training and safety.

In 2014 Wallops played in a part in 30 NASA airborne missions, flying more than 2,000 flight hours, which set a new record for the facility.
