Officials on scene of a homicide investigation in Mardela Springs, MD on 7/27/15

Officials say the investigation into a homicide in Mardela Springs has led to one suspect being taken into custody.

Details are still limited at this time. 47 ABC has learned that officers from Maryland state police responded to Snethen Church Road after receiving a 911 call around 11:30 AM Monday.

The victim is described as an adult male. His name is being withheld while officials notify his family. His body will apparently be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

A man was reportedly taken into custody at the scene. Authorities say he will not be identified until he is charged with a crime.

Police say a motive has not yet been identified in this case. The investigation is ongoing.
