UPDATE: Selbyville restaurant suffers $300k in damages from fire

Officials from the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company say they responded to a heavy structure fire at a restaurant and bar in Selbyville, early Monday morning.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire crews responded just after 5:00 AM, to Pomeroy’s on Dupont Boulevard, just north of the state line.
When fire crews from the SVFC arrived, they reportedly found smoke pouring from the two-story restaurant. The business was apparently closed when the fire broke out.
Officials say damages are estimated at $300,000, and no injuries were reported. The cause and origin of the blaze remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Fire Marshal’s – Sussex Division at 302-856-5600.
