UPDATE: One indicted in Millsboro daycare death

A Millsboro daycare owner has been indicted on murder charges, in the death of a 10-month-old boy.
Valorie Handy, 51, has been indicted and charged with murder. The charges stem from the death of a 10-month old boy in January, that reportedly happened at her home daycare.
Delaware State Police say their investigation started on the afternoon of January 28, when Troopers responded to Handy’s Little Disciples daycare on Layton-Davis Road in Millsboro. Investigators say a call came into 911, stating that a 10-month-old boy was unresponsive after a daycare employee attempted to wake him from a nap.
The baby was reportedly rushed from the scene by EMS, to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes where he was eventually pronounced dead. The case was later ruled a homicide.
Back in January, 47 ABC was told that Valorie Handy was the only person on duty that day.
Handy was indicted on Monday, on one charge of murder by abuse or neglect first degree.
On Wednesday, Handy was taken into custody near her home, and after an appearance in the Sussex County Superior Court, she was ordered to be held at the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $100,000 cash bond.
Delaware Department of Child Services tells 47 ABC, that Handy’s daycare license has been suspended since January, and is expected to be revoked by early August. Officials say no children have been in her care, since the incident.
Handy’s next court date is reportedly scheduled for August 4th.
