UPDATE: Milford man arrested for second child rape

An investigation into the rape of the child in Milford, has apparently led investigators to a second victim.

On July 2, Milford Police say they again arrested 23-year-old Meir Morales, of Milford, in connection to a separate sexual assault. Officials say this new investigation showed that between 2008 and 2010, Morales performed sexual acts with a different young girl between the ages of 7 and 9-years-old.

The incidents reportedly happened at a home in Milford. Morales was charged with rape 4th degree, and endangering the welfare of a child with child as sexual assault victim. He was given an additional $22,000 unsecured bond.

Back in June, 23-year-old Morales, was arrested on rape and related charges following a month long investigation. That investigation reportedly showed that during the same time period, Morales and a young girl, who was also between 7 and 9-years-old, engaged in sexual acts numerous times.

Detectives say the two communicated in person, through a video gaming system and through obscene drawings, during which Morales encouraged the acts.
