UPDATE: Cove Road Beach bacteria advisory lifted

An bacteria advisory, warning swimmers to swim at their own risk at a local river beach, has been lifted.
The Wicomico County Health Department says they re-sampled the water at Cove Road Beach on Thursday, and those tests show that the bacteria level has decreased to within the limits allotted by the Maryland Department of the Environment.
The advisory had been put into place on Wednesday, after tests reportedly showed elevated levels of bacteria. Cove Road Beach was closed for five days back in June, also because of high levels of bacteria in the water.
