The secret behind making fried lemonade at the fair

On Wednesday, 47 ABC’s Greg Guidone mentioned that he saw fried lemonade was being offered at the state fair.

So on Thursday, we found out what this crazy concept was all about.

Folks with Little Richards, a fair food vendor, tell us that it all starts with three small lemon cakes.

Once those are baked, they’re thrown into lemon batter before going into the fryer.

In the meantime, a plastic cup gets coated a lemon sauce made from lemon zest.

As the fried cakes come out of the fryer they go into to the cup where they’re topped with powdered sugar and more lemon sauce.

Lastly, the cakes get injected with lemon juice and topped with a lemon slice.

It would’ve been impossible to actually fry lemonade, but we’re told it has it’s name because all of the ingredients in lemonade are used in this fried recipe.
