Pedestrian struck in Ocean City

Police in Ocean City say around 1:41 P.M. Friday say they responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the area of 58th Street.
Police say a man in his 50s was treated on scene by Ocean City EMS, then transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center via Maryland State Police Aviation Trooper 4.
Authorities say the man is in critical but stable condition, and will be treated at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Coastal Highway traffic was reportedly backed up into Delaware, while Route 90 was backed up 10 miles. Officials say the only lane open in the area at the time was the right bus lane, due to the crash investigation.
