Navy petty officer reunited with dog

Tuesday was a very special afternoon for a Cambridge serviceman.

Second-class Petty Officer Trevor Jews was reunited with his dog Raven for the first time in more than half a year.

Petty Officer Jews was deployed to the Middle East with the U.S. Navy and he had left Raven under the care of a family friend.

We’re told that family friend found out she was unable to keep the dog, so she reached out to Operation We Care in Salisbury. The organization got in touch with the Veterans Support Centers of America in Quantico, which housed the 14 month old old pup for the past seven months.

“It’s kind of breath taking right now, because she’s gotten so big since I left but now she’s full grown and I can tell that she missed me so I’m about to have some good times here.” Says Petty Officer Jews.

Petty officer Jews says he will be heading down to Florida on Wednesday where he is stationed. We’re told Raven will be going along with him.
