Motorcyclist dies in fatal wreck in Gaithersburg

Montgomery County police say a motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in Gaithersburg.

Police say the accident occurred just before 8 p.m. on Saturday on Frederick Road and Christopher Avenue.

Police say a 35-year-old riding a motorcycle struck a black Acura making a U-turn. Police say the man on the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The three people in the Acura were uninjured in the wreck.
