Jul. 6 – Judy Center Summer Activities

Early Childhood Coordinator and Judy Center Coordinator Karen Karten recently wrote, “The Judy Center is so busy this summer.” Play Pals is an activity that takes place every Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. at the Princess Anne Library. This is a play group for children birth – three. Music, art, reading, early science exploration and math activities are all a part of the fun. Snacks will be served as well.
Kinder Kids is another exciting play group which will be held every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10;30 a.m. starting July 7th until August 11th at Stewarts Neck Community Center at 30512 Nutters Lane in Princess Anne. This is a play group for four and five year olds which will emphasis math, music, fitness, art, science and a field trip.
Learning Parties will be held at the Princess Anne Library for four and five year olds on Mondays July 13, July 20, July 27 and August 3 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served and the event with be free of charge. At each Learning Party, you and your child will explore different ways to develop your child’s readiness skills. You will also learn fun tips and get take-home activities to help your child be ready for kindergarten. This is a science based activity.
The Judy Center is hosting Food and Fun programming on Thursday nights at the Princess Anne library from 4:30-6:00. Karten said, “We are also providing summer home visiting (one hour of one on one teaching) for PK students entering Kindergarten. We have a Kindergarten teacher (Nicole Andrews) visiting students during the summer working with them to help them with skills needed for Kindergarten.”
