Hartly man accused of exposing himself at elementary school and daycare

Brandon M. Tucker, 18, of Hartly

The Delaware State Police say they have charged a Hartly man for exposing himself at an elementary school and daycare center, on several occasions. Police say a man exposed himself at the Hartly Learning Daycare Center multiple times, and once at the Hartly Elementary School.

The first reported incident apparently happened on the afternoon of July 7, at the Harlty Elementary School. A school employee is said to have been cutting the grass on the property along the roadway, when a red two door vehicle pulled over onto the shoulder, directly across from her.

Investigators say the man in the driver’s seat had no pants on, before he opened the door, exposed himself to the employee, and then started to touch himself in an inappropriate manner. The employee called 9-1-1, and the man apparently drove off. The school was not in session, and no children were present at the time of the incident.

Several more incidents were apparently reported from July 15 to July 22, but this time at the Hartly Family Learning Center, a daycare in Hartly. On one occasion, police say an employee of the daycare saw a red passenger car pull into the parking lot, and park his vehicle as she walked towards her vehicle.

The driver was apparently a man, who then opened the door with his pants pulled to his knees, and reportedly exposed himself to the employee. As the employee left in her vehicle, the man followed her onto the road, but then drove off in a different direction.

On July 21, another employee of the daycare reported that she saw the same red vehicle pull into the parking lot, and park next to her vehicle. The same man reportedly remained inside of his vehicle, and followed her as she left the parking lot, and then again drove off in a different direction.

During the investigation, Troopers say they identified 18-year-old Brandon Tucker, as the man in the red vehicle, and arrested him at his house on Tuesday, without incident. Tucker was charged with two counts of indecent exposure second degree, two counts of lewdness, and five counts of criminal trespassing third degree. He was arraigned, and later released on a $3,050 unsecured bond.
