Georgia man reportedly found putting gas in stolen car in Milford

A Georgia man has been charged, after Police say he stole a vehicle from a local business.

Milford Police say on the morning of July 1, 29-year-old Brent Dahler, stole a motor vehicle from an auto business lot on N. Walnut Street. According to the report, Dahler then returned to the area later that afternoon, driving the stolen vehicle, looking for a license plate of a similar vehicle, to steal and put on the stolen one. Police say Dahler eventually found one in the Dollar Tree parking lot, and removed it, before fleeing the area.

Milford Police say they later found Dahler as he was putting gas in the stolen vehicle, at a nearby station. He was arrested, and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, and theft under $1,500. He was sent to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $3,000 bond.
