Funeral arrangements set for suspected homicide victim

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Fruitland woman believed to have been killed by her caregiver.

The family of Mary Ellen Bonniwell says a graveside service will be held at the Belle Haven Cemetery on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Bonniwell was found dead in her Morris Street home last Thursday.

Police arrested 44-year-old Becky Long over the weekend, after autopsy results ruled Bonniwell’s death as a homicide. Long reportedly admitted to fighting with Bonniwell over her “telling lies”.

Long is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on August 20.
