Fourth of July in OC Economic impact

Ocean City always experiences big crowds on the Fourth of July, but officials tell 47 ABC that this year crowds were even larger.

According to officials over 300,000 people flocked to the beach front resort town over the weekend with the population reaching just under 330,000 on July 4.

Officials say the reason why this year was busier than years past is because the holiday fell on a Saturday, with most people getting Friday off from work

Despite the huge crowds officials tell us people generally behaved themselves and there was not much of a fluctuation in crime.
