Five children arrested for burglary of Prince Street Elementary

Five children were arrested on Sunday, after they apparently forced their way into a school.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says just after 8:00 PM, a Deputy responded to Prince Street Elementary School, for reports of juveniles on the property breaking into one of the portable buildings.
Once on scene, the Deputy reportedly met with a witness who said they had seen the five kids leave the property after the incident. According to the report, the Deputy was able to locate the boys on a nearby street, and was able to link the damage to them.
All five children, aged 8-14, were taken to the Sheriff’s Office, where they were processed on charges of burglary 2nd degree and malicious destruction of property, before being turned over to their parent or guardian. The Sheriff’s Office says a request for juvenile charges will be submitted to the Department of Juvenile Services.
