DSP: Avoid southbound lanes on SR 9 if possible

According to Delaware State Police, the southbound lanes of Route 9 are temporarily closed.

We’re told the northbound shoulder is the only lane open at this time following a serious crash between a tow truck and a vehicle.

Details are limited, but Delaware State Police say that the accident took place around 9:30 Saturday night between Rogers Road and I-495.

The crash is under investigation and police say travelers should expect delays or attempt to avoid the area if possible.
