Del. fire officials investigating arson at swim club

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is seeking suspects accused of deliberately starting a fire inside a Wilmington swim club complex.

Officials say the fire was reported just after 2 a.m. on Saturday at the Shellcrest Swim Club. Firefighters from the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company arrived at the scene and discovered equipment on fire.

Officials say the fire was intentionally set to burn pool furniture around the pool deck. The damage is estimated at roughly $8,000.
