Chicks open tournament play with blowout win

The Perdue Chicks continued their dominance in the Eastern Shore Baseball League, defeating Tri-County 14-2 in the opening round of the Jimmy Carter Memorial Tournament.

Diaz Nardo, DJ Doherty, and Jesse Long all had early RBIs for the Chicks, as they rolled to their 12th straight win.

The Chicks advance in the winner’s bracket, to face the winner of Thursday’s matchup between the Georgetown Titans and the State Line Strutters. Tri-County falls to the loser bracket, and is now one loss away from elimination.
