Berlin man charged in drug related crash

The Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack say, they have charged a Berlin man with multiply charges after a crash in Worcester County sent two people to the hospital.
According to reports, troopers responded to the crash at about 7 PM on Saturday. Investigators say, 56-year-old William Freng, of Berlin was stopped at the traffic light north bound on Route 611 at Route 707 in a 2016 Chevy Corvette. That’s when 31-year-old Scott Hermiston, of Hebron reportedly drove a 2011 Toyota Tundra in the back of the Chevy, forcing it off the roadway and into a tree.
William Freng was transported by Maryland State Police Aviation to PRMC and his passenger, Lauren Freng, was transported by ambulance to PRMC. Hermiston and his 10-year-old passenger were reportedly not injured.
Hermiston was arrested for a drug related DUI. Additionally, troopers say they found 3.4 grams of marijuana and 1 gram of heroin in his possession.
Hermiston was transported to the Ocean City Commissioner’s Office.
