47ABC’s Annual Weather Watcher Party

Yesterday was our annual weather watcher party here at 47ABC. It’s the time of year where we get to thank our weather watchers for being such a big help. Our weather watchers are dedicated individuals who call in each day with their current weather conditions and report to us whenever severe weather occurs in their area. Their consistent reports are vital to us and so important in assisting the weather team with live local coverage from across the Delmarva Peninsula.
We had a packed house at our party; one of the largest turnouts we’ve had since this began. Attendees included Kenny and Michelle Wheatley, Connie and Skip Holmburg, Nancy and Eric Taylor, Carol Loy and Lois Goepel, Tom Lockerman, Stan Dobies, Lane Van den Ham, Joe and Betty Miles, Ted and Bobbie Parker, and Paul Yanucchi.
We started with a meet and greet downstairs where we all enjoyed wonderful food and drinks catered by 2J’s Barbeque. We then provided a tour of our new virtual studio where everyone had the chance to experience the 6pm news live. Afterwards, pictures were taken (image above) where the weather watchers got to meet other reporters and news anchors.
On behalf of 47ABC and the entire weather team (Travis Michels, Daniel Johnson, and Jaisol Martinez), we thank you all for being part of our family. We look forward to continuing this in the future.
