A West Virginia teen is facing charges, after Police say he had a handgun on him while fighting in a local beach town.

Ocean City Police say on Saturday around 11:25 PM, a uniform bicycle officer noticed two males fighting near Baltimore Avenue and 17th Street. Officers were reportedly quickly able to take the aggressor into custody, during which they say they found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. Police say they also found that Butts has been involved in a similar incident that they were investigating, about an hour before on 21st Street and Baltimore Avenue. During that incident, Butts apparently showed the weapon.

Butts is being charged as an adult with minor in possession of a firearm, having a handgun on person, two counts of first degree assault and two counts of use of a firearm in a violent crime. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
