UPDATE: Suspect named in barricade situation

Members of the Salisbury Police Department say at approximately 8:20 A.M. Tuesday, they dispatched to a building in the Island Club Apartment Complex for a reported dispute between neighbors.
Police say Ira Neal Finkle, 50, had made verbal threats to other apartment residents, saying he was going to run people over with his motor vehicle. The police report also says Finkle was also overheard saying he had possession of a firearm.
Once police were on the scene, they say they tried to make contact with Finkle who refused to answer the door, creating a barricade situation. Police say for a little over four hours, they worked with the Department’s Hostage Negotiation Team and Tactical Team to successfully establish contact with Finkle.
Police say he was placed under arrest without further incident, and taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for what Captain Rich Kaiser calls “medical” reasons.
Salisbury Police say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Department at 410-548-3165, or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
