UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Salisbury murder

State Police say they have a man in custody, in connection to the May murder of a Salisbury man.

Maryland State Police say on Tuesday they arrested 19-year-old Daequan White, of Salisbury, at the home of a relative. White stands accused in the May 17 murder of 20-year-old James Skinner, at his home on Bryn Mawr Avenue in Salisbury.

Police say the woman who Skinner was living with found him around 3:30 AM, lying in the doorway of the home, with a gunshot wound. Skinner’s death was later ruled a homicide.

White is charged with first and second degree murder, first degree burglary, home invasion, armed robbery, first degree assault, use of firearm in commission of a violent crime/felony, possession of a firearm by a minor, along with several other charges.

He is currently being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
