UPDATE: MSP Investigating fatal Hurlock crash

Officials with Maryland State Police say they are investigating a fatal car accident in Hurlock.

The crash apparently happened on Monday afternoon around 12:20 PM, in the area of Route 307 and Clark Canning House Road. Officials say a tractor trailer, driven by Ralph Jones, 60, of East New Market, Md., drove into the right hand deceleration lane in order to pass the turning vehicle and struck a 2003 Honda Accord on the right side.

The Accord was driven by Jacqueline Alicea, 29 yrs of Hurlock, Md. Her passenger, Jacqueline Santiago, 50, also of Hurlock, died at the scene. Police say a 4-year-old juvenile passenger in the Accord and Alicea were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for treatment. 

Troopers say Jones was transported to Dorchester General Hospital, and was treated and released.

Officials say both remain hospitalized. There are reportedly no charges at this time, and that investigation continues.
