UPDATE: Information sough after remains of suspect’s son found in car in Va.

The Virginia State Police say they have new developments in the investigation into the human remains discovered during a traffic stop in the City of Hampton.

Police say on June 6th, 44-year-old Tonya Slaton, of Richmond, was driving on I-64 when she was pulled over for a traffic stop. During the stop, Police say they found human remains inside her black 2003 convertible Ford Mustang.

Reports say the Office of the Medical Examiner has confirmed the remains are those of Slaton’s biological son, Quincy Jamar Davis. At this time, Authorities are reporting that they haven’t found any witnesses that know anything about Davis’ welfare after 2004. Police say, at that time, he was living and going to school in the City of Virginia Beach.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about Quincy J. Davis, anyone who knew him or when he was last seen, to contact them at 757-424-6800, or via email at questions@VSP.Virginia.gov.

Slaton has been charged with concealment of a dead body, and is being held without bond. Additional charges are reportedly pending.

Virginia State Police say the investigation is still on going.
