Six arrested during investigation into string of Kent Co. burglaries

State Police say they have arrested six people after executing several search warrants in Kent County, in connection to a rash of burglaries.
Delaware State Police say during an investigation into a series of burglaries in the areas of Felton and Camden-Wyoming, they found a link to 26-year-old Bryan Cordrey. On Wednesday, Troopers say they went to Cordrey’s home on Beagle Club Road in Felton, and searched it. At the home, Cordrey, along with his 49-year-old mother, Donna Cordrey, were arrested. Investigators say they found items that were taken during several of the burglaries.
During interviews with Cordrey, Police say they determined that he had burglarized several homes, and had stolen firearms and body armor. Bryan Cordrey was charged with a slew of offenses including 12 counts of burglary, attempted burglary, theft of a firearm, 17 counts of theft, two counts of selling stolen property, four counts of falsifying business records, theft by false pretense, and other related charges. Police say he has additional charges pending including resisting arrest, and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, along with additional burglary charges. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $72,000 bail.
Donna Cordrey was charged with two counts of selling stolen property, two counts of conspiracy, two counts of falsifying business records, and two counts of theft by false pretense. She was later released on a $8,000 bond.
Police say their initial investigation also lead them to execute four other search warrants, one on Lingo Drive in Dover, Lambert Drive and Nascar Lane both in Magnolia, and one on Mulberrie Point Road in Frederica. Police say they made four more arrests during these searches.
Twenty five-year-old Dontwais Tanner, of Dover, was charged with manufactures, delivers, or possesses with intent to deliver, possesses a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession of heroin, and drug dealing, and is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $40,250 secured bail.
Twenty five-year-old James Wooten, of Dover, was charged with possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on $750 bail.
A 17-year-old female from Magnolia was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possess of controlled or counterfeit substance, conspiracy, possess a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, possession of MDMA, possession of heroin, and drug dealing/possession with intent to distribute – MDMA, and released on a $2,800 bond.
Twenty one-year-old Stephen Wheeler, of Frederica, was charged with possession, purchase, own, or control of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, and possession of marijuana, and is now being held at JTVCC on a $5,100 bail.
