Salisbury woman accused of intimidating juror

A Salisbury woman has been charged, after she apparently threatened someone on the jury in a case against her daughter.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, Lauren Bailey was found guilty by a jury in Circuit Court, of driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving while suspended. She was then sentenced to jail time.
Investigators say later that night, Bailey’s mother, 51-year-old Valerie Rovin, managed to find the jury foreman at his job, and confronted him about the verdict. Rovin reportedly was verbally abusive towards the foreman, and made him feel threatened. Deputies say Rovin also told the foreman that people were going to “take care of him,” which he took as a death threat.
On Thursday, Rovin was arrested, and charged with intimidating a juror, and released to Central Booking at the Wicomico Detention Center.
