Route 13 construction nearing completion

If you have been driving around Business 13 in Salisbury, you’ve probably noticed all the construction that’s been going on for the past few months. Some good news? The Maryland Highway Administration says it’s almost over.

Construction crews have just finished paving the section between Lloyd Street and West College Avenue, but sidewalks still need to be done.

David Buck, spokesperson for the Highway Administration says grinding and resurfacing still needs to be done just down the street from where the completed work is, but that can’t happen until the water lines are relocated. Sixty feet of piping needs to go in and with all the rain and storms that we’ve been experiencing, its been a struggle to get things finished.

Buck says things should be completed by mid to late August.
