Police: Cheswold man hospitalized after crash

State troopers say a Cheswold man is in critical but stable condition following a serious crash, reportedly involving a motorcycle.

Authorities say around 7:00 p.m. Friday, 26-year-old Brandon McClain was traveling on southbound on McKee Road through Cheswold. According to reports, McClain was traveling at a high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle. Police say he traveled through the front yard of a home, before striking a bush. After the impact, McClain reportedly went airborne and then struck a parked vehicle in a private driveway.
 
McClain, who was wearing a helmet, sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was transported by the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit to Christiana Medical Center.
 
No charges have been filed at this time. We’re told the crash remains under investigation.
