Norm Conway honored at SWAC luncheon

Dozens gathered in Salisbury Tuesday to pay tribute to local art and the folks who have directly contributed to it in the past few years.

Former delegate Norm Conway was honored at an annual meeting held by the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council. This year, the council’s meeting was in the form of a luncheon.

Conway was one of two award recipients. He specifically won the Community Arts Appreciation Award for reportedly advocating for art funding throughout his years as an elected official.

“I was very flabbergasted and they’ve done a lot of things for me over the year. I’ve had lunches with them and things of that sort. They’re just a group of that invigorates you.” Conway says.

Conway was also awarded the Salisbury Award later at Salisbury University.
