Nanticoke house fire under investigation

Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office say they are currently investigating an early morning house fire in Wicomico County.

Reports say fire departments Westside, Hebron, Mardela, and Sharptown responded to the fire on Spring Lane at about 6:15 AM on Sunday. According to officials, the fire was discovered at the ceiling of the home by the homeowner. It reportedly took about an hour for fire officials to control the flames.

Officials are estimating the cost of lost to about $20,000.

The cause of the blaze still remains under investigation
