#MusicGives to St. Jude at Firefly

Music Gives to Saint Jude is the official charity for the Firefly Music Festival. When fans purchased tickets online, they also had to option to donate money to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

There are also opportunities to donate onsite at the festival. St. Jude is aimed at treating and defeating childhood cancer as well as other diseases. Firefly has raised more than $100,000 since the festival began four years ago.

Music Give is run by musician Jason Thomas Gordon. He tells 47 ABC his grandfather founded St. Jude. He began this charity to honor him.

Jason Thomas Gordon Music Gives St. Jude Kids,  “I love it because it combines saving children’s lives with music and so being able to reach out to peer group and musicians and music fans and people like me and have us all kind of band together is a really great thing.”

Red Frog Entertainment, the producer of the Firefly Music Festival, has made a $25 million dollar pledge to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
