More prison time for man convicted in Salisbury robbery

A man convicted in a 2013 armed robbery in Salisbury had more time tacked on to his prison term Thursday and it’s not the first time.

Nick Stuetz initially received ten years with all but 18 months suspended for his role in a robbery scheme. The crime was a group trying to recover $10,000 worth of marijuana in Salisbury. Stuetz stood by as accomplices held two men hostage with a shotgun and baseball bat.

But officials say, right before he was going to be released in 2014 he assaulted a prison guard. He was then sentenced to an additional five years.

But that’s not all, the assault was actually a violation of his probation. That’s why a judge Thursday ruled he now has to serve the remainder of his original sentence after his current prison time. Meaning, all together, he will spend an additional 13 years behind bars.
