Milford man arrested on rape charges

Milford Police say a man was arrested last night and now faces rape charged after a month long investigation.

Police say Meir Morales, 23, was charged with two counts of 4th degree rape among other charges. This after detectives reportedly found he encouraged a young girl to engage in sexual acts with him on different occasions.

Police say the two met and engaged in sexual acts multiple times between 2008 and 2010 when the victim was between seven and nine years-old.

They two were apparently communicating with the victim in person through a video gaming system and through obscene drawings. Morales is being held on bond.
