McAuliffe embarking on trade mission to Europe

(AP) – Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is headed to Europe next week for a whirlwind trade mission across the continent.
The governor’s office announced Friday he’ll be headed to United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden, France, and Belgium as part of an 11-day tour.
McAuliffe’s wife and various aides will be going along too.
The governor said in a statement that he expects to close “multiple significant deals” as result of the trip.
McAuliffe has made economic development – and luring businesses to Virginia in particular – a top priority.
