Maryland man convicted on rape charges

A Maryland man has been convicted on rape charges in Wicomico County.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Andrew Hull, of Walkersville was convicted by a Wicomico County jury of rape 2nd degree, sodomy, and other related charges.

The charges stem from a November 1, 2014 incident. Hull went to a party that the victim was hosting at her home, during which he had sex with her without her consent.

Hull was taken into custody after the verdict. Sentencing has been deferred at this time, pending a pre-sentencing investigation.
