Married Pittsville couple arrested for assault

According to the Wicomico Sheriff Office, one drunken night put a married Pittsville couple behind bars, for allegedly assaulting each other.  

Reports say on June 11th, just before 8:15 PM, a deputy responded to Main Street in Pittsville for a reported domestic depute. When the deputy arrived, both 50-year-old Herman and 38-year-old Christy Baumgartner reportedly told the deputy that each had been assaulted by the other. During the investigation the deputy reported signs on both that supported their claims of being assaulted, and both were visibly intoxicated.

Both were taken into custody and charged with 2nd degree assault. Their bond was set for $5,000.00 each.
