Man wanted after injuring an officer while fleeing

Police in Dover say they are looking for John E. Pauley, 25, of Milford, after he reportedly fled from an officer on Friday morning. 

Police say around 9:30 A. M. Friday, a Dover Police officer stopped Pauley for running a stop sign in the area of Independence Boulevard and Lamplighter Lane. 

After stopping, the officer apparently discovered that Pauley was wanted numerous times by Superior Court of Delaware, including a Violation of Probation.  Officers say as they attempted to arrest Pauley, he fled in his vehicle and struck one officers hand.

Police say Pauley then continued northbound on Independence Boulevard.  The officer reportedly suffered minor injuries to his hand from incident. 

Authorities say Pauley was last seen operating a Gray 2001 Chevrolet 2500 truck that was unregistered.

He is reportedly wanted for Second Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest with Force/Violence, Disregarding Police Officer Signal, and numerous other traffic violations.
