A late afternoon popup storm dumped heavy rain on the track crew doing final prep for Saturday night’s William J. & Juanita Cathell Memorial postponing the event for the second time. The event will be rescheduled at a later date.
 
On tap Tuesday night will be the 43rd Annual Camp Barnes Benefit Race. There will be a $25 lap leader bonus in all classes. The Big Block Modifieds will take on the Small Block Modifieds in a 30-lap feature paying $3000 to win $200 to take the green (plus bonus money to the Small Block top five) 358 Small Blocks must be a maximum of 363 cubic inches and weigh 2400 lbs . The Super Late Models will run 25-laps for $3000 to win plus $200. Any 13/92 tire will be allowed in these two divisions.
 
Also on the card will be the Crate Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, Mod Lites and Little Lincoln Vintage Cars. General admission will be just $20 and $30 in the pits. Children 10 and under are admitted free in the grandstand and must be accompanied by an adult. All proceeds go directly to benefit Camp Barnes. Camp Barnes is owned and operated by the Delaware State Police and children 10 to 13 years of age are eligible to attend the camp at no cost to their parents or guardians. Tuesday night gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. There will be lost of pre-race exhibits and activities so come early. Rain date for the event is the following night, June 24th.
