Investigation on-going into St. Michaels house fire

A St. Michaels house fire remains under investigation, after officials say they found the cause as incendiary.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire started just after 9:50 PM at a home on North Street. According to the report, the flames originated in an inside hallway. After a neighbor discovered the flames, 32 firefighters from St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Company responded, and had the fire under control in 25 minutes.

No injuries were reported, and damages are estimated at $10,000. Investigators have reportedly named the cause as incendiary.
